After high school, Chris attended Trinity Valley Community College in Athens, Texas, on a band scholarship. They later returned to Fort Worth to start a family, which included two daughters, Morgan Crawford-Moore and Makayla Moore. For most of his adulthood, Chris worked as an independent contractor in the construction industry, which took him all over Texas and the U.S. He never met a project he couldn’t tackle and enjoyed a good challenge. He was a quick learner and mastered numerous handyman skills, which he would put to good use for friends and family until the very end.

He was born on March 29th, 1980, in San Diego, California, to Elizabeth and David Moore. Chris was one of two children, alongside his sister, Tiana Atkins. The family later settled in Fort Worth, Texas, where Chris lived for most of his life. Growing up, Chris excelled in academics, music, and sports. He was an honor student, played the tuba, and mastered the German language (with help from the family’s foreign exchange student, Malte Seidel). He was also an avid golfer and played soccer for many years.
Outside of work, Chris enjoyed spending time with friends, family, and his two German Shepherds, Ruger and Kinder. He nurtured several hobbies and interests, including 4-wheeling, power tool collecting, cooking, and singing. He also enjoyed playing dominos, card games, and ping pong. He was known for his big heart, sense of humor, and love of the color “orange”.

Jeffrey Kyle “Pooh Bear” Stephens left this earth tragically on October 14th, 2022 at the age of 50.
